Principals of Gold Shield Security, and not managers or sales representatives, visit each client location personally and review existing security procedures currently in place. The principals’ individual attention and personal connection to each client and their facility is what sets Gold Shield apart from our competitors. Recommendations for improving existing conditions are made and, together with each client, we will establish security policies that will then be detailed in the form of Post Orders.

Post Orders will govern the duties of the security guard at our client’s location and can be modified when necessary. Once in place, post orders stand to set the rules and regulations, along with any other necessary information, for that post.

Guard Selection

By personally visiting our client’s facility and establishing the role of the security guard, we have a clear understanding of the applicant needed to fulfill those responsibilities. To ensure only qualified applicants are assigned to our client’s location, the principals of Gold Shield Security personally interview all candidates after passing pre¬screening requirements. Overall demeanor, appearance and attitude are noted during interview process.

Gold Shield Security has a comprehensive screening process for all applicants. All applicants must fill out employment applications at Gold Shield Security’s offices to ensure they have the ability to read, write and follow written instructions. Five-year employment and/or education history is verified and applicants are fingerprinted for a criminal records check. All candidates must complete an 8-hour pre¬assignment training class. Each security guard hired must be New York State certified as well as possess a current registration with New York State Department of State.
